Band heaters are produced in 2 different types as mica and ceramic insulated. Mica insulated band heaters can be used under 300 degrees. Mica insulated band heater is especially used for heating tanks and pipelines of different sizes. Ceramic insulated band heaters are used above 300 degrees and up to 700 degrees, especially in plastic extrusion machines where molten plastic flow is desired and in pipelines that need power.
